The influence of social media is heart-warming at times like these, with so many working hard to share happiness and useful advice in the most uncertain of times.
George (7) and Sadie Ford (4) decided to get creative in joining the fight against coronavirus. Their Mum Joanne got her mini comms team to work creating a character that would remind them (and now others) to #WashYourHands. When Joanne posted her children’s wonderful hand-washing superhero posters on Twitter the desire to help these ‘soaper’ (sorry, not sorry – there are quite a few of these references in this blog!) illustrations take flight was simply too strong for team Alive.
We had to harness the ingenuity of these budding designers, so we took their drawings, put our Alive spin on things and created some posters they could share around. We think they liked our efforts.
Working as a team in times like these can be tricky. Using our own strengths we can develop our children’s life skills. Getting them to be creative is as important as what they learn in the classroom. Our Alive team parents have been getting our children working on designing logos, creating webpages and writing creative stories. The next generation of creative stars are honing their skills already!
